Terms & Conditions

Chipping Norton Tours
Last updated: 31 August 2026

1. Booking & Payment

Bookings may be made directly with Chipping Norton Tours or through an authorised third-party booking platform.

A booking is confirmed once the required deposit or full payment has been received and the booking has been accepted by Chipping Norton Tours.

Payment terms, including any deposit and balance due date, will be shown at the time of booking.

Where a booking is made through a third-party booking platform, that platform’s booking and payment procedures may also apply.

Shared tours are limited to a maximum of seven guests per departure.

2. Shared Tour Confirmation & Minimum Numbers

Shared tours normally require a minimum of four guests overall to operate. Individual guests, couples and smaller parties are welcome to book seats and are not required to make up the minimum number themselves.

A booking reserves your seat on the selected departure. Shared departures remain subject to minimum participation requirements until the departure is confirmed.

Chipping Norton Tours may, at its discretion, confirm and operate a departure with fewer than four guests.

If minimum numbers have not been reached, Chipping Norton Tours will contact affected guests as early as reasonably possible.

Where a shared departure cannot operate due to insufficient numbers, guests will be offered one or more of the following:

  • Transfer to another available shared-tour date;

  • Upgrade to a private tour on payment of the applicable additional charge; or

  • Cancellation of the booking with a full refund of all amounts paid, including any deposit.

Alternative dates and private-tour upgrades will only be made with the guest’s agreement.

3. Children Under 12

Children under 12 may join the tour by prior arrangement only.

Please contact Chipping Norton Tours before booking so we can confirm that the tour is suitable and that any required child seating arrangements can be accommodated.

4. Guest Cancellations & Refunds

Where a booking is made with a deposit, the deposit is non-refundable if the guest cancels the booking, except where a refund is required by law.

If the guest cancels 7 days or more before departure, any amount paid over and above the deposit will be refunded.

If the guest cancels less than 7 days before departure, all payments made are non-refundable, except where required by law.

Where full payment has been made at the time of booking and no separate deposit applies:

  • Cancellations made 7 days or more before departure are eligible for a full refund.

  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before departure are non-refundable, except where required by law.

Where a booking was made through a third-party booking platform, any refund will be processed in accordance with that platform’s procedures and any applicable terms shown when the booking was made.

5. If Chipping Norton Tours Cancels

If Chipping Norton Tours cancels a tour, including where a shared tour cannot operate because minimum numbers have not been reached, guests will be offered either:

  • Transfer to another available date; or

  • A full refund of all amounts paid, including any deposit.

The choice between an alternative available date and a refund will be the guest’s.

6. Arrival & Missed Departures

Guests are responsible for arriving at the stated meeting point by the time shown in their booking information.

The tour may not be able to wait for late arrivals.

If a guest misses the tour because they arrive late or fail to attend, no refund will normally be due.

7. Itinerary, Venues & Tour Changes

Tour itineraries are flexible and may change due to traffic, weather, venue opening arrangements, access restrictions, operational requirements or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Stops at pubs, shops, farms, breweries and other third-party venues are subject to their own opening times, availability and operating decisions.

No particular venue, filming location, individual or member of a television programme is guaranteed to be available, accessible or present on the day.

Where reasonably necessary, Chipping Norton Tours may alter the order of the itinerary, substitute a stop or omit a stop while still providing the overall tour experience.

8. Guest Responsibility & Behaviour

Parts of the tour may pass close to private homes, private land and working farm areas. Guests must respect local residents, landowners, private property and all instructions given by the host.

The following rules are strict conditions of participation in the tour:

  • Do not leave a public footpath or enter private land, farmyards, fields or working farm areas unless the host specifically tells you that you may do so.

  • Do not look over walls, hedges, gates or other boundaries into private property.

  • Do not photograph private homes, take photographs over walls or boundaries, or photograph people who clearly do not wish to be photographed.

  • Do not photograph anything that the host specifically tells you not to photograph.

  • When using a public footpath, stay on the footpath, keep moving when instructed and follow the host’s directions at all times.

These rules are necessary to protect the privacy of local residents, respect private property and preserve Chipping Norton Tours’ ability to operate responsibly in the area.

Any guest who breaches these rules will be removed from the tour immediately. There will be no warning and no refund.

A guest who is removed from the tour will be responsible for arranging and paying for their own onward transport from the location where they are removed.

Chipping Norton Tours also reserves the right to refuse participation to, or remove from the tour, anyone behaving in a threatening, abusive, disruptive, unsafe or seriously inappropriate manner. No refund will be due.

Guests are responsible for ensuring that they are reasonably fit and able to participate in the tour. The tour may include walking through muddy fields, countryside paths and uneven ground.

Third-party venues operate independently from Chipping Norton Tours.

Chipping Norton Tours is not responsible for changes, closures, delays, restrictions, service standards or other decisions made by third-party venues.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
